Another concern would be the large number of song birds that are present at the ponds. I'm wondering if they would think the tubes are a nesting site and when they enter become tangled in any line that was deposited. Let’s take a cue from the Audubon Center @ Milford Pt. They have a fishing line disposal tube for fishermen to use. It is simply a 4″ pvc pipe screwed to a 4×4 post. The top has a 45 degree curve in it to keep water out. The bottom has a screw on / or screw in plug threaded into it. Could this be a good project for the new Stewards? As for Fishing line.
